GATE 2022 Syllabus

The online applications for the Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering were done by IIT Kharagpur from 30 August to 24 September 2021.   • GATE exam will be computer-based will be conducted online.
  • You will be given 3 hours for the exam.
  • There will be a total of 29 papers in this exam.
  • The exam will be of MCQ/MSQ and NAT type.
  • In this, you will be given two sections, the first section is General Aptitude [GA] and the second section is the candidate’s selected subject.
  • In the GA section, you will be given 10 questions, 55 questions will be given for the subject and a total of 65 questions will be given.
  • The exam will be a total of 100 marks, in which 15 marks will be given for GA and 85 marks will be given for Subject.
  • All questions will be of 1 or 2 marks for which the rules are different.
  • There will be 1/3 negative marking for 1 mark question.
  • There will be negative marking as per 2/3 for the question of 2 marks.
  • In GATE there will be 0 negative markings for the section of NAT.
